Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of notarial services provided by Daisy, a commissioned notary public in the State of Florida, doing business as Lakeland Notary Services. By engaging our services, scheduling appointments, or requesting notarization, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

By Using Our Services, You Agree To:

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Provide accurate information and valid identification
  • Understand the limitations of notarial services
  • Accept responsibility for document preparation and content

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our services. These Terms may be updated periodically, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Scope of Notarial Services

Services We Provide

Mobile Notary Services

  • Travel to client locations within 15-mile radius
  • Home, office, hospital, and institutional visits
  • Same-day service when schedule permits
  • Multiple signer accommodations

Remote Online Notarization (RON)

  • Secure video notarization sessions
  • Available throughout Florida
  • Digital identity verification
  • Session recording and digital certificates

Services We Do NOT Provide

Legal Services

  • Legal advice or consultation
  • Document preparation or drafting
  • Legal document interpretation
  • Recommendations about legal actions

Document Services

  • Document creation or editing
  • Form selection or recommendation
  • Translation services
  • Document filing with agencies

I am commissioned as a notary public by the State of Florida and am authorized to perform notarial acts as defined by Florida Statutes.

I cannot provide legal advice, interpret legal documents, recommend legal actions, or substitute for the advice of an attorney.

For legal advice regarding your documents or situation, you must consult with a qualified, licensed attorney.

My role is limited to verifying your identity, witnessing signatures, and completing notarial certificates as required by law.

Client Responsibilities

Document Requirements

Proper Preparation

  • • Documents must be complete with all necessary information
  • • Documents must NOT be signed prior to notarization
  • • All blank spaces that affect the notarial act must be filled
  • • Documents must be in English or accompanied by certified translation

Valid Identification

  • • Current, unexpired government-issued photo ID
  • • Driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID
  • • ID must clearly show photo, signature, and personal information
  • • Photocopies or expired IDs are not acceptable

Signer Requirements

Personal Appearance

  • • All signers must appear personally before the notary
  • • Signers must be mentally competent and willing
  • • No coercion or duress may be present
  • • Signers must be able to communicate with the notary

Cooperation

  • • Provide accurate information when requested
  • • Follow all instructions from the notary
  • • Allow sufficient time for the notarization process
  • • Pay applicable fees as agreed upon

Important Note

Failure to meet these requirements may result in refusal of notarial services. As a notary public, I am required by law to refuse notarization if proper requirements are not met or if I suspect fraud or coercion.

Fees & Payment Terms

Fee Structure

Notarial Fees

  • Per Notarial Act: $10.00
  • RON Services: $25.00
  • * Florida statutory maximum fees apply

Travel Fees

  • Mobile Service Fee: $50.00
  • Mileage (if applicable): $0.65/mile
  • * Based on current IRS standard rate

Payment Policy: Payment is due at time of service. Services will not be performed without payment.

Limitations of Liability & Disclaimers

Service Limitations

  • Document Content: We do not verify the accuracy, legality, or validity of document contents.
  • Legal Effect: We cannot guarantee the legal effect or enforceability of notarized documents.
  • Document Acceptance: Third parties may have additional requirements beyond notarization.
  • Identity Verification: We verify identity based on acceptable identification presented at time of service.

Liability Limitations

Maximum Liability

Our maximum liability for any claim arising from our notarial services shall not exceed the amount of fees paid for the specific service in question. We maintain Errors & Omissions insurance as required by Florida law.

We Are Not Liable For:
  • Consequential or indirect damages
  • Lost profits or business opportunities
  • Document rejection by third parties
  • Technology failures beyond our control
Coverage Includes:
  • Errors & Omissions insurance
  • Bonded through the state of Florida
  • Professional liability coverage
  • Good faith efforts to correct errors

Governing Law

Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Polk County, Florida.

Applicable Laws

  • • Florida Statutes Chapter 117 (Notary Public)
  • • Florida Administrative Code Rules
  • • Federal regulations for RON services
  • • Local ordinances where applicable

All notarial acts are performed in accordance with Florida notary laws and regulations.
